It is a fictional character from: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Some years ago, a child was found at the door of one of the Brotherhood of Light
convents. It is unknown who his original parents were although some suspicions he
was an unwanted bastard of a local rich farmer, probably the Cronqvist family
although this has never been proven.

The order gave the unnamed boy the Christian name of one of the blessed archangels,
Gabriel and rose again as one of his own members. The precocious child quickly
proved to be extremely talented, developing the mastery of the fighting arts
unprecedented in the Fellowship.

Gabriel took the surname of the Belmont after his love of mountains and the high
places of the world. Passed by dark humor and occasional ambivalence, Gabriel was
deeply affected by the death of his childhood girlfriend, Marie. Gabriel began this mission at the request of the
elders of the Brotherhood rejecting the help of his companions and nourishing a burning desire for revenge.
