Unloading/Loading of Scaffolding
Erection/Dismantling of Scaffolding
All scaffolders will be fully trained to execute the work that they
are undertaking and, where applicable, hard hats and safety boots
will be worn.
Construction
Ties
Where scaffolds are tied into structures, any such ties must
not be tampered with.
The Client to provide a firm and level base for our scaffold that
will not settle or deflect under the imposed load of our
structure and any load applied thereon. Base to extend at least
300mm past the outside of the scaffold. Our offer does not include
for any foundations, or propping scaffold below pavement and/or
base level. Client to ensure pavement/base will safely support
the load of our structure and any loads applied thereon.
You are to ensure that the roof will safely support the load
imposed by our scaffold and any load applied thereon.
TEMPORARY ROOF
Once the support scaffold has been erected we shall span from
one support scaffold to the other with modular unit beams, bolted
together and erected in rows, these rows of unit beams will be
fully laced together and connected with purlins of galvanized
tube. All fixings to be used will be low bearing double couplers
and/or other fittings in accordance with British Standard.
After the frame work has been erected we shall lay corrugated iron
sheeting on top of the temporary structure to be fixed with
sheeting clips and a mat of tube and fittings will be fixed on
top of the sheeting to act as a restraint. Monarflex plastic
sheeting will be clad once only to the outside support scaffolding
if required by the contract. All materials will be hoisted up by
hoist present on site.
ROOF/DORMER/GUTTER WORKS
The propane bottles will be sited 6.0 m from the asphalt pot
except the one being used which must be 2.0 m from the asphalt
pot and all propane bottles will be stored in a safe covered
compound when not in use and locked.
