WEEK 14 – The Global Guide to Hand Gestures, Communication Aids and
Strategies, Types of Visual Aids

version.

HORN FINGERS - This hand gesture is used when you’re making funny face.

COME HERE - This gestures used is when you want someone to come to you
closer.

2. Make a descriptive paragraph on how a speaker can give a good

presentation in terms of the use of visual aids.

Presentation aids, often called as sensory aids, are resources employed

by a speaker outside of the speech to solidify the intentional message to the
target audience.

When giving a speech, you are attempting to convey more than just
words and ideas, so another thing to remember is to be mindful of your hand
gestures and presentation so that the audience can clearly see what you are
saying.

over time and you can use it to show
many different categories of data. You
should use it when you chart a
continuous data set.
Pie Charts A pie chart shows a static number and
how categories represent part of a
whole — the composition of
something. A pie chart represents
numbers in percentages, and the total
sum of all segments needs to equal
100%.
Column Chart Use a column chart to show a
comparison among different items, or
to show a comparison of items over
time. You could use this format to see
the revenue per landing page or
customers by close date.

project/activity.
Word & Number Charts This graph can be used in a survey-
style questionnaire to display
respondents' percentages of yes or no
responses and their answered answer
in spoken.
Bar Charts A bar graph should be used to avoid
clutter when one data label is long or
if you have more than 10 items to
compare.

4. Group together visual aids that can be used together as support to each
other.

The visual aids that can be utilized together as support to each other are the
line charts, column charts, bar charts, and pie charts, since all of those visual
aids can present and summarize the data that you are going to give.
