with interrupting shipping traffic. To help it do so, the Gesehwader’s
{two Gruppen ware moved forward out of Rumania to two aifields in
the Ukraine situated on either side of Odessa. L/KG 51 was
transferred to Tiraspol, 60 miles northwest of the port, on 10
(October, and Il/KG 51 went to Nikolayev, much the same distance
tothe northeast, two weeks later
