 DETAILS ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT & REQUIRED FORMALITIES
RULES OF THE GAME (CRICKET)

Every match shall be held according to normal cricket rules (ICC). However, there are a number
of additional rules, which are as follows:

1. It’s an CRAFT Architect’s Cup and all teams have to submit the Architects UG Degree and with
COA NUMBER along with the age verification of the players.

2. The teams will be divided in two groups / as decided as per the final registrations. They will
play in league and later Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final to decide the Winner. The final
format shall be decided as per team captains meeting. In case the number of teams are more
than a suitable format as per the convenience of organizers adhering to time schedules shall
be decided.

3. A team of total 15 members shall be sent for the tournament. The Playing Team will consist of
11 Players with the CRAFT Sports & Cultural Committee reserves the right to amend the same
at any given time as required.

4. The team has to ensure mandatorily that all the players i.e.,15 players should get a chance in
the playing Eleven in any of the league matches. This is considered after receiving suggestions
from various team captains.

This is a mandatory requirement and no relaxation will be given during the matches.

5. With reference to above, rotation of players shall be MANDATORY. Minimum 1 change in

each age group, adhering to minimum 3 changes per match shall be compulsory for all league
matches only. Knockouts can be played without rotation also.

6. To ensure equal competition among all teams, a team not adhering to rotation policy because
inadequate no. of players shall play with that much less players, e.g. if a team consist of only
12 players and they do not have balance players for rotation for the next match, they will have
to play with 9 players in the next match.

7. The matches shall be played on Mat Wickets with White Leather Ball. All league games will
 be 12 over innings with no bowler allowed to bowl more than 2/3 overs in an inning. Final
will be of 12-15 overs with no bowler allowed to bowl more than 3 to 5 overs in an innings
or as finalized by CRAFT sports committee.

8. Each CHAPTER team should bring their own jersey.

9. Balls will be provided by the Organizer/ Host.

10. Points: Winner – 3 , Loser – 0 , Abandoned – 1 Each.

11. Umpire Decisions are final.

12. In case of a tie, the final decision will be through a Super- Over as per ICC rules.

13. Teams have to carry their own Kit, as no cricketing gears will be provided by the committee/
Organizers.

14. Respective Chapters will have to pay for their Registration charges per Team Participant
@Rs.15000 /- . It will not include accommodation and travelling.

15. The organizers will provide all meals and hospitality as per the itinerary.

16. CRAFT doesn’t hold any responsibility for any injury caused to any player during the game.
All security provisions must be ensured by individual team only and shall be the sole
responsibility of Participant/Chapter.

17. All the teams have to Report VELLORE before 7 pm on 16th December 2022.
CRAFT will arrange the venues for Registration, Opening Ceremony and Team Captains
Meeting on 16th December.

18. Any Misconduct of any player/ team against Organizers/ CRAFT Sports & Cultural
Committee / Umpire, is not permissible and CRAFT Sports & VIT Sports Committee is
authorized to take strict action if any individual / team is found guilty of any extent.

19. Host Chapter along with CRAFT Sports & Cultural Committee shall hold no responsibility
if any Player/Team is found guilty of breaking any Local/ State Govt.’s Law in any way.

20. The host shall not provide any hospitality, lodging or transportation to extra persons /team
sponsors accompanying the team. All expenses have to be borne by the respective individual
only.
21. Sponsors accompanying teams shall not be provided any facility, accommodation, food
and advertisement etc. they can make their own arrangements of stay, food and travel.

22. Sponsors accompanying teams, if found guilty of any misconduct, bad behavior against
any of organizing committee team, CRAFT sports committee members, VIT members
etc. the respective team accompanying that sponsor shall be disqualified at all levels and
all sports games.

23. During the award distribution ceremony if any team(s) is/are found absent, The respective
team/members will be disqualified for the next season of CRAFT leagues.
