Interview Findings

We interviewed 3 of the respondents based on the challenges faced by them in virtual

teamwork.

Interviewee profile:
Occupation: HR Professional
Work Experience: 5 years
Interviewer: Simran Shokeen
Overall, the interviewer felt that she is more productive while working from home rather than
offline because the working hours are extended as the commuting time is saved. However,
she feels that remote working has negatively affected her work life balance due to hectic
work schedule as the clients expects her to always stay online and give instant replies to their
queries. Apart from all this she believes that the company has provided her with the necessary
equipment’s and training while transitioning towards remote working. Even though many
respondents had a constant fear of losing their job this was not the case with this particular
respondent as she was confident being a consistently good performer that her job is safe. The
respondent also felt supported by her leader and was also satisfied with the remote work
policies of the company. While asking the final question of whether she was looking forward
to returning to the offline mode, she responded with a firm No as she believes that she is
more efficient while working from home and if given an option would prefer remote
working.
