2. Introduction
2.1. Synopsis
PROMET5300 is digital protection relay as the ultra-reliable ability to
perform precise instrumentation with protection factor more than 12 type,
and various interfaces with the central monitoring system through
supervisory and control capabilities to remote, which provides a
full-featured electronic switchboards solution IED (Intelligent Electronic
Device). Especially, this product is possible to provide
IEC61850(International Standard Protocol), so it could be linked to the
central monitoring system to facilitate the remote of real-time
supervisory and control at the digital substation, power station and
plant.

2.2. Characteristics and major functions

◆ Compact of Facilities
Switchboards used to relay multiple existing analog to digital one relay to
implement the Compact and to install and configure the electronic switchboards
operation convenience.

◆ Providing of various communication interfaces

It provides communication interface applicable to any environment through
accommodation of IEC61850 and various standard protocols. Therefore, user
does not need to mount separate protocol converter, and can establish
monitoring and control system rapidly and conveniently.

◆ Providing of various Graphic screen to adopted color Graphic LCD

Color Graphic LCD to the adoption of high-resolution 800X480
Mimic-Board, Vector-Diagram and provides the same screen Harmonic
Spectrum Analysis Graph provides a variety of information to users.
PROMET5300 is offered color screen so, you can easily recognize figure
and measurement value on the screen.

◆ Providing of various event information

Operation Event
It stores and manages events such as control event (on, off, trip) and
diagnosis event occurring during various operations in the order of
occurring time up to 4096 pieces.

1
Fault Event
It stores and manages various fault information (occurring time, kind of
fault, operation relay element and etc.) upon line accident in the order of
occurring time up to 1024 pieces.

◆ Fault Wave storage function

It stores and manages sample data of 320 cycle up to 4 pieces for faults
occurred recently. User can use the stored fault wave and can utilize it as
cause analysis data for faults.

◆ Providing of convenient user interface

Various set-up and instrumentation control can be input and installed
conveniently in PC through USB communication port mounted in the side
face of main body. (Software to be provided by our company is used.)

◆ Various control power

Free Voltage Type (AC / DC 110 ~ 220 [V]) controlled the various control power
supply available.

◆ Self-diagnostic diagnosis and Backup power outage

PROMET5300 the CPU Check, Memory Diagnostic and above, I/O diagnosis,
diagnosis and control, such as the power to perform regular self-diagnosis
of the bad occurred, and warned that output by storing and diagnostic
Event allows the user to take rapid countermeasures.

◆ Logic Function
PROMET5300 can be output LOGIC(= AND, OR, Latch etc.) with DO or
communication after it is received download with back and side port
information of the internal IED.
