 CHAPTER ONE

1.0 Business over view

Yummy-taste juice business will be located in Jinja City. It is expected to open up more branches
in other areas of eastern part of Uganda. It plans to produce natural fruit juice free from artificial
preservatives that might cause serious health hazards such as cancer, asthma, allergy etc.
however, in order to increase the shelf-life of the natural fruit juice, we shall use refrigeration
and natural preservatives. Natural preservatives are ingredients that prevent products from pre-
maturing spoiling; retain smell and effectiveness. These may include vitamin C, Citric acid etc.

1.1 Vision

to become a business known for promoting health leaving while caring for the environment.

1.2 Mission

To provide healthy products without harming the environment or health of our customers using
quality materials.

1.3 Goal

To increase our overall brand awareness

1.4 Objectives

To reduce costs by 5% within 5 months.

To maximize sales by 8% within 9months

To increase profits by 5% within 5months

To increase our market share by 10% within 10 months

2.0 Introduction

This chapter indicates the product rendered by yummy-taste juice business, services and its
benefits.

2.1 Products and services

As part of our strategy to create sources of income in line with our own core business concept.
We will run consultancy and training services.

Here are some of the products and services shall render.

(i) Selling natural fruit juice of different flavors.

(ii) Training, advisory and consultancy services

2.2 Uniqueness of the Product

Yummy-taste juice is free from artificial fertilizers that might cause cancer or health hazard.

2.3 Benefits of the Products

Timing is everything. If you want to get the most out of your health fresh juice, drink it on an
empty stomach or an hour before meal.

Natural fruit juice therefore has benefits for example;

- It reduces the risk of cancer

- It boosts the immune system that is to say it provides benefits as they are rich in vitamins
and minerals.

3.0 Industry and competitive analysis

3.1 SWOT Analysis

Strength

Our strength lies in the fact that there is a wide range of fruit juice flavors that can meet needs of
a wide range of customers.

Another factor that will count to our advantages is the art facility and equipment that helps to
meet the demand of products even if the demand tripled over night.

Weakness

The fact that we are setting up a fruit juice business in a city with other fruit processing business
might pose a challenge in breaking into a saturated market. Our chosen location might be our
weakness.

Opportunities

Many people consume fruit juice on a daily basis and we are to push products to them perfectly.
Others might want to learn how to produce fruit juice and our training Centre is highly ideal for
them to fulfill the goal.

Threats

We are to compete with already established fruit juice business in Jinja and also there are other
entrepreneurs who are likely going to join.
