1. Explain how company development and expansion….


 Improves the quality of a human resource function?
- Through establishing plans and regulations about hiring of employments, training
and development for employees, it can also provide job opportunities through
business expansion.
 Increases employment opportunities?
- Companies, and even small businesses are more likely to hire employees who live
near the communities in which they operate, thereby boosting local employment
rates.
 Overcome overburden, burnout, and resignations?
- Some companies are now allowing a 1-day mental health day off in which it helps
employees to reduce stress or burnout from work. To avoid resignations, they
should pay their employees well by having numerous benefits, leaves, etc.

2. Discuss the relationship between development and population growth from the
perspective of Human Resource.
- Population growth and a society's economic progress are closely connected. The
size, structure, organization, distribution, and movement of a population can
promote or retard the pace of economic growth. In order to maintain economic
growth, a developed nation with low population density and a low proportion of
employable individuals must see an increase in population.

3. As a Human Resource manager, do you favour minimum wage legislation? Despite


the company do compliance with the current minimum wage.
- Yes I’m in favor of the minimum wage legislation, only if they will allow an
increase in the minimum wage. We all know that in today’s situation, we are
experiencing a high inflation rate, and with that, the prices of goods and basic
necessities are way up high now, it is better to increase the minimum wage in
order to lift people out from poverty and also improve work ethics.

4. Do you think telecommunicating or other alternative work arrangements are much


better to be practiced rather than traditional work setup?
- Regarding on today’s situation, I still preferred the traditional work setup which is
the on-site work. But because of pandemic, numerous companies especially in
BPO are now allowing work from home setup. But in my view, you can work
more efficiently if you go on-site Unlike I work from home setup wherein, others
don’t take their job seriously or there are some other factors that can affect the
communication like slow internet connection for example.
5. The declining sales and production of the company would lay off workers
eventually, as a Human Resource manager, what do you do on the situation? Please
apply the concept of human resource planning and provide concrete and various
solutions.
- In relation with the concept of human resource planning, as a Human Resource
Manager, the first thing that I would do is to assess the situation first. I would
measure the financial performance with the help of financial analyst in the
company, and with there I can decide if there is really a need to lay off the
workers. Because we know that employees are asset to the company, also it is not
easy to terminate or lay off them. Also, by planning we can make an alternative
action by lowering the supply and such.
