Quarter 2 Project

For this Quarter Project I decided to do a project in the classroom. About a month ago
Mrs. Robin came to me and asked me if I would be interested in doing a welcome bulletin board
next to the door entering the classroom. They do something for every month of the year. This
month was Christmas themed to go with December. I spent about two weeks on pinterest trying
to find a good idea. I thought it would be quite simple to find something to do, but it actually
came with some challenges. I had to do something that was not religious and something that
wasn’t for January. Most of the pictures that I came across were very Christian based and that
does not work for any school related topics.
After a while I came across an idea that was perfect. It was a string of Christmas lights
with a saying above it. I showed it to Mrs. Robin and she loved it. Therefore, we got to work.
She sent some Christmas lights to the printer and we went down there together to print them
out. Afterwards, I started to cut them out. After I cut them all out the kids got to painting. They
painted them with watercolors. They each go to choose their own color. The next day I cut out
the letter with a machine in the teachers lounge. On Monday, the following week, I started to put
everything together. I got some string to hang the lights on and hung that up on the bulletin
board.
