A great resource that I think is very resourceful is Kahoot. To me, this is a very effective
tool especially if your class is competitive. In my experience I have seen kids learn so much
playing Kahoot because since they want to win they pay attention to what they get right and what
they get wrong. As a teacher, I would prepare Kahoots for my class and then reward the kids
who place in the top three. This gives my students a goal to reach and pushes my other students
to try to win to get the prize. When I always played Kahoot I would learn a lot about the topic
because I would see visually what I got wrong and right and it helped me remember the
information. Also, some of my past teachers would share the kahoot after with us too so we can
practice after class and it helps especially if the kahoot is based on the test or quiz you are
preparing for. It is even good for students to make sure they fully understand the concept before
you move on to the next topic. It also shows the teacher how many students understand the
concept.
Another great resource is google slides. This resource is very diverse and can be used for
so many things. One way I have seen google slides used in a classroom setting is a teacher put up
a math problem and directions and shared it with her students and everyone worked out the
problem on their own slides. This was very cool because the student worked out their problems
and then they could look at their fellow students ideas. A lot of students learn new ways to solve
problems that they never thought about before. Another way you can use google slides is putting
notes on them for lectures or to show your students the concepts written out. This is effective
because it gives the students soemothing to refer back to and it visually can help because you can
write concepts on them and also add pictures so your students can visually see concepts and be
able to read them. I really like google slides because it can be used in so many different ways.
