I am interested with your Financing Program for Greenhouse Farming

System and inquiring how could I possibly avail of that program as a
landowner / agri-entrepreneur from Polomolok, South Cotabato.

I read a pdf file (https://www.landbank.com/public/upload/files/2020AR-LBP-PURSUIT-OF-

MANDATE.pdf) posted by your bank regarding its pursuit to support a program
for Greenhouse Farming. It says,

The Financing Program for Greenhouse Farming

System supports the financial requirements of
farmers’ organizations and other agri-
entrepreneurs in their shift towards modern
farming system through the adoption of
greenhouse technology. The cumulative loan
releases as of Dec. 31, 2020 amounted to P8.64
million with outstanding loans of P5.25 million,
benefiting two MSE-borrowers.

As an agri-entrepreneur, I am aware of the misfortunes of traditional

farmers. If we will not embrace modern method like the Israelis then we will
never move forward but backwards. It is the reason why numerous farms are
sold by its owners due to pessimism from pursuing this kind of livelihood.
But I am not yet ready to give up.

I acquired some knowledge about this system due to long research. I even
tried some part of this system like drip irrigation, fertilizer
injection/fertigation, use of soilless culture but on a small scale due to its
cost. The only thing I did not try is greenhouse on a commercial scale due to
its cost. It is no debate that traditional farmers are not earning that much to
have some spares for venturing into greenhouse system. Nonetheless, this
did not discouraged me and always looked for ways on how to implement it.

Then, I read from the papers that then DA Sec Piñol was keen in
implementing this program. He placed the greenhouse he got from South
Korea at DA-Baguio as a model for Benguet farmers. Recently, on Dec. 6,
2021, I visited that place to learn about it. That is the solution we need now
in the agri sector but it is beyond the reach of ordinary farmers. Thus, ou
need of assistance from the government like DA and LBP.

With the Financing Program for Greenhouse Farming System of your bank,
there is this possibility now of pursuing this kind of modern farming. How
can I possibly avail of this as a farmer or agri-entrepreneur? I looked at the
different loans you are extending but I am not sure which fits the greenhouse
farming. It would be appreciated if you can extend assistance to a farmer
like me on how to avail of this program.
