Concept Paper of Group 2

Introduction:With Christmas approaching, we thought of making a delicious cake made


by our group which is the Group 2 of our section with a word in mind to be successful,
organized and presentable as possible

Rationale:We came up with different ideas,suggestions from our groupmates such as


Graham balls, but it’s already taken so we need to came up with something, our group
suggest more such as spaghetti,donuts,cupcakes and cake, but we all agree to one thing.
Which is the cake, it is the best possible thing we can come up with, and the most worth
it in our opinion,and we’ll also gonna mix some things up to make it rather “unique” or
“uncommon” something that you don’t see very often, especially in some occasions.

We also came up of flavors to make some “variety” we came up some flavors such as,
yema cake,ube cake,coffee cake,cheese cake, we make assumptions on how to balance
out our flavors to make it not “too sweet” and to make the flavors compliment each
other, so our main flavor is the Yema cake and with a coffee jelly for the drink, now
things became complicated when we are thinking of the second flavor. We came up
with chocolate or dark chocolate cake so we can balance the sweetness of the yema
cake,but we think of it as “common” or generic” which is something you see very often.

I also agree that we should not use cholcolate flavor because it’s too “common”
nowadays. So now, we came up of something to partner with the yema cake that’s not
too sweet or something to balance the yema cake,at first we set our sights with the ube
cake, but we quickly dropped it because we don’t know where we can find an ube and
also the price of an ube, so we stick to the coffee cake, which is easier to make and it’s
also not too “sweet” so we all agreed to it.

Now for the drink, it’s an easy choice, we came up with coffee jelly and there’s no
objections to it, because if we do a milktea it’s much harder to find the “pearls” and it’s
too sweet to balance out the sweetness of the cake.

Goals:Our main goal is to create the best cake that is cheaper than the one’s you bought
on the stores

Methodology:We started by researching the prices of cakes of a certain brands, such as


Red-ribbon most cakes costs about P700. Now our plan is to make a cake below the
price of P450-P500 for each cake and Lilan said that we can make a cake in this price
range. Because the thing you’re paying is the “name” of the brand and that’s why we
came up with this idea of making a cake for only P450-500

Benefits:It benefits anyone who’s in a tight budget but still wants to enjoy the
sweetness of a cake and to those who wants to celebrate occasions.
