Rubik’s Cube Make Genius

Experiment Idea: the better memory, the faster solving

Team member: Waranyu Watanakulchai & Panithi Ngowmanee

Hypothesis: People who can solve Rubik’s Cube have better memory than people who cannot do it.

Context/Scope: I take 2 people random. Both people have never played Rubik’s Cube before. Let’s
them watch solving tutorial Rubik’s Cube VDO. The person who takes shorter time to solve Rubik’s
Cube has the better memory than another person. If any person can solve Rubik’s Cube under 10
mins that person tends to be a genius.

Variable: age, period of time to complete

Experiment setup: preparing the solving tutorial Rubik’s Cube VDO and 2 Rubik’s Cubes

Need: 1. Two Rubik’s Cubes

2. Tutorial Rubik’s Cube VDO

3. Timer

Analyze: The person who can solve Rubik’s Cube faster than another has the better memory.
Especially, the person who can solve Rubik’s Cube under 10 mins tends to be a genius.

Experiment 1: Taking 2 people at the same age who’ve never played Rubik’s Cube watch solving
tutorial Rubik’s Cube VDO and timer.

Experiment 2: Separating people by age in each year and take them to watch solving tutorial Rubik’s
Cube VDO before timer. Practicing only person who can solve Rubik’s Cube and improve them to
solve Rubik’s Cube under 10 mins until they become a genius.
