Non availability of drinking water for workers at

site:

IKK & TMC:

Observed that cold drinking water was not available in
the water igloos for IKK and TMC personnel working at
the runway area. It is necessary to provide drinking
water for workers to help them stay hydrated
especially in the present hot climate to avoid heat
stress related incident.

Category: (Unsafe Condition).

Recommendations:
Informed responsible HSE person to make sure that
cold water is always available to workers on site to
avoid any unwanted incident..

Working under suspended load:

TMC:
Observed TMC's Personnel working under the lifted
load. This could lead to serious accident in the event of
unexpected release of the suspended load.

Category: (Lifting).

Recommendations:
Conduct a tool box talk on hazards associated with
lifing with mobile crane and working under suspended
load.

PPE non compliance:

TMC:
Observe that workers were not using the basic
required PPE (Safety helmet, reflective jacket, googles)
while in site premise. This exposes them to hazards
present in the construction environment and increases
the chances of getting injured.

Category: (PPE).

Recommendations:
Supervisors should ensure that their workers and
subcontractor drivers adhere strictly to the use of
necessary PPE while inside the site premise as this is
the basic requirement to enter the site.

GOOD PRACTICES:

1. House keeping is conducted on site and waste bins provided for waste segregation.
2. TBT conducted for TMC workers about lifting and working under suspended load
