Brief Summary of the Industry:

Sector to which the company belongs: Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) was a multinational
information technology services and consulting company based in Mumbai. A subsidiary of Larsen& Toubro
LTI was incorporated in 1996 and employs more than 46,000 people. [3]
In 2017, NASSCOM ranked LTI as the sixth-largest Indian IT services company in terms of export revenues.
The company was among the top 15 IT service providers globally in 2017, according to the Everest Group's
PEAK Matrix for IT service providers.

Key Learnings: There is an attitude that distinguishes each LTI employee. It is the
evidence of a well-defined, well-articulated process and philosophy that has been clearly
communicated and consistently demonstrated throughout our organization. What makes LTI

Introduction:

 Founded as L&T Information Technology Ltd in December 1996, LTI is a listed

subsidiary, 74% owned by Larsen & Tourbo (L&T). During 2001–2002 the company's
name was changed from L&T Information

 Technology Limited to Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited and in the same year, the
company achieved the assessed level of Software Engineering Institute's (SEI)
Maturity Level 5.
 In 2013–14, L&T Infotech's engineering services segment and parent Larsen &
Toubro’s design and engineering division were consolidated under a pure-
play engineering, research, and development services company called L & T
Technology company.
 In July 2016, L&T Infotech went public via an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of ₹1,243
crores (US$184.98 million).
 L&T Infotech dropped the word 'Infotech' from its name to reflect the changing
business environment and rebranded itself as 'LTI' with a tagline of 'Let's Solve' in
May 2017.
 In 2022, it was announced that LTI and Mindtree will be merging. The merged entity
will be named as LTIMINDTREE.
