The crime scene

Name: Isabel Rodríguez ID: 8-977-503

Look closely at this crime scene.

What do you think has happened here?

Here I think it happened that there was a crime of domestic violence.

What could you collect as evidence?

It could be that all parts of the house were destroyed, damaging the material things in
the house.

Make a list of samples you would like to take back to the lab.

1: Rays of the person's feet on the floor.

2: Streaks of the person's feet on the furniture of the house.

3: blood on the floor.

4: some material things that can be used to check for the person's eggs.

Looking for DNA evidence

 Think about the samples on your list. Which of these do you think contain DNA?
Write down your ideas.

Your notes here

I believe that in the tests on my list that contain DNA would be: The hand prints
on the furniture and the blood print found on the floor of the house.
The suspect? or the victim?
The first step is to compare the DNA from the blood at the scene with the two people
that live at the house. Why do you think this is necessary?

It is necessary because any DNA test must have 100% certainty in order not to have
confusion because it is a very delicate subject to follow.

Look at the DNA profiles.

Does the sample match either of the of flatmates?

What does this information tell us? Write down your ideas.

The image I see is that each floor has its own difference, so it is not known what
happened, so it is necessary to investigate the problem with great caution.

Who did it?

After the burglary, the police interviewed neighbours and eye-witnesses who saw the
burglar run away from the house. Based on this information and some previous
burglaries in the area they have four suspects. Compare the DNA profile from the crime
scene with the suspects.

I compare them and there is a certain difference in.

1. Is there a match?
if there is any overlap.
2. What does this tell us?
we must thoroughly investigate the problem.
3. Take notes on your ideas.
Going to court – what do you think?

What does a matching DNA profile actually prove?

I say the blood test.
What other evidence could be used in court in addition to a DNA match?
You could use the information from the people who saw the act and take the
material things to see if you can find more of the person's fingerprints.
