Adaptation- Is a special characteristic of an organism to adjust to changing conditions
of the environment.
STRUCTURAL ADAPTATION:
Structural adaptation- are adjustments to physical features of organisms to help them
adapt and survive in their habitat.
BODY PARTS OF ANIMALS THAT LIVE ON LAND
Terrestrial animals- have structures that help them run, crawl, walk, gallop, or hop.
BODY PARTS OF ANIMALS THAT LIVE IN WATER
Aquatic Mammals- streamlined bodies and flippers for
easy movement in water.
Fins- for balance and movement
MIMICRY
Allows harmless animals to act, look, or sound like
poisonous, venomous, or distasteful animals to mislead
its predator.
