FEMINISM – FROZEN I

Feminism – it is the advocacy of women’s rights and gender equality.

Director- Chris Bucks, hw did a great job in directing this movie because the movie showed a great
representation of supporting feminism.

Characters:

Elsa:

She was renowned for being elegant, poised, and reserved, but there was more to her personality that
affected everyone, particularly the young girls who looked up to her. She became a great queen of
Arendelle, demonstrating that women can lead like men and can accomplish anything that a man can.
She was a strong, independent woman who demonstrates that women can stand alone without a man
by their side. She was willing to isolate herself from the society in order to protect her family. She is
independent and able to make her own decisions. Like many young woman, she was taught that her
power was a threat, a curse, but then she was able to have a character development where in the song
Let it go, she confidently showed her true self and was not afraid of anyone’s judgement, just like now in
our society where in there are a lot of discrimination but we will still fight for every persons confidence,
to gain them back at to stand again.

Anna:

She is upbeat, loving, and caring, but she is also a brave woman who can face challenges on her own. In
addition, she has the freedom to make her own decisions. She appears happy in order to mask her pain.
She always considers the bright side of any issues she encounters.

Both sisters, Elsa taught young girls to embrace her weakness, and be confident with what’s unique
within you. Anna, where you can be ordinary but still can save the day with you, resourcefulness and
determined to do something can change anything.

The act of true love

Sisterly love was highlighted throughout the movie. The two girls were extremely close when they were
young but grew apart as the doors to the kingdom were made to act as a barrier in their relationship.
They were proceeding smoothly as the coronation night got underway until Anna asked Elsa's
permission to wed Hanz, which set both of them off and brought on a winter in Arendelle. Nevertheless,
Anna didn't place the blame elsewhere but herself, and she was eager and determined to help find her
sister in order to reconcile and persuade her to return to their home. Everyone assumed that true love
could only be discovered romantically, but the twist was that Anna was saved because the sisterly love
Elsa showed her enabled her to control her abilities.
