List of DOH Trauma Centers

The Philippine Health Facility Development Plan (PHFDP) 2020-2040 as the macro plan for the
country’s government health facilities shall guide national upgrading allocation for health facility
development and investment. Under the PHFDP, DOH hospitals shall be upgraded to become
Specialty Centers for one or more ofthe sixteen (16) medical specialties and shall serve as the apex
or end-referral hospitals of the HCPNs. One of these is the establishment of Trauma Centers in DOH
Hospitals. They were selected by DOH based on the country’s top burden of disease, existing laws
and mandates, and special needs. The following are DOH hospitals are to be established as Trauma
Centers from 2020-2025.
