Question: Differentiate between heart stroke and hear exhaustion and there
treatment
Both heat exhaustion and heat stroke are serious conditions. Heat exhaustion begins
with general muscle weakness, sudden excessive sweating, nausea and vomiting, and
possible fainting. A heat stroke is when your body's internal temperature reaches over
103 degrees. And there treatments are ;
Cool water is misted on your body while warm air is fanned over you, causing the water
to evaporate and cool your skin. Pack you with ice and cooling blankets. Another
method is to wrap you in a special cooling blanket and apply ice packs to your groin,
neck, back and armpits to lower your temperature .
Heat exhaustion
Heat exhaustion is a condition whose symptoms may include heavy sweating and a
rapid pulse, a result of your body overheating. It's one of three heat-related syndromes,
with heat cramps being the mildest and heatstroke being the most severe.
Heatstroke
Heat stroke is a medical emergency requiring emergency treatment. Untreated heatstroke can
quickly damage the brain, heart, kidneys and muscles. The damage worsens the longer
treatment is delayed, increasing risk of serious complications or death.
High body temperature. A core body temperature of 104 F (40 C) or higher, obtained
with a rectal thermometer, is the main sign of heatstroke.
Confusion, altered mental status, slurred speech.
Loss of consciousness (coma)
Hot, dry skin or profuse sweating.
Seizures.
Very high body temperature.
Fatal if treatment delayed.
