What can you buy in Trujillo?
Trujillo is known for traditional dance and for its
temperate desert climate. What you can buy in
this city would be tickets to the coliseums to
observe the beautiful dance of the sailor, as well
as buy tourist tickets to visit the museums and
beaches. And at the end of the day you can visit
the discos and bars, to buy the famous pisco
sour and honey bee brandy.

What can you visit?


There are many places where you can pass
many good moments in Trujillo: This city has a
beautiful and colorful colonial architecture, here
you can visit the Basilica Cathedral of Trujillo,
the “Huaca del Sol y la Luna”, “Balneario de
Huanchaco” and also the ruins of Chan Chan.
Likewise, there are different festivities in
Trujillo, the main one being the "National
Marinera Contest" is the largest traditional
dance of Trujillo, together with the Peruvian
Paso and Marinera Horse Contest.

What can you eat?
In this city there are several types of restaurants
between the cheapest and the most expensive.
But wherever you go you will eat delicious.
Among the typical dishes of Trujillo are ceviche,
shambar and dried kid. In seafood dishes, their
prices vary between 10 to 40 soles, since this is
a city that is next to the sea. In turn, you can
also enjoy typical Trujillo drinks such as mistela
and Andean punch.

Where can you buy souvenirs and clothes?


There are many places where you can buy
souvenirs and clothing in Trujillo. A place is
“Artesania Plaza” that is located at Jiron
Orbegoso 428. There are many stalls open
selling souvenirs such as bracelets, necklaces,
hats, and handicrafts. There is also the Plaza de
Armas of Trujillo located on the right where
you can find typical objects of the region such
as textiles and articles of the city.
