How do the revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries compare, and what major events
in history drive each?
Schedule of Lesson:
Introduction of lesson – 5 minutes
Students watching videos and taking notes – 15 minutes
Discussion in small groups – 10 minutes
Jigsaw Discussion – 20 minutes
10 minutes of wiggle room
Performance Task
Mini-experts to Jigsaw: Students will first individually watch one of four Crash-Course
episodes on a different revolution, then meet with the others in small groups and discuss for
a few minutes the most important things they found in the videos. Then, they will jigsaw,
discussing each revolution amongst of group of students who watched other videos, each
taking notes from the other.
