Instruction: Answer the question in not more than 200 words
In your own opinion, why did Jesus choose the more sinful and lowlier to be his apostles
and disciples? If you were Jesus, would you choose you? Why? Why not?

For me, I believe that Jesus has chosen these types of individuals to be his apostles and
disciples because these are ordinary people and therefore, they are the ones who could put more
meaning and direction into the mission of Jesus which is to save those who are lost – basically
the common people and the sinners. Moreover, I also believe that Jesus has chosen them since
He knew that they can change and redeem themselves through a strong faith in God and proper
guidance. He knew that they have flaws but he was also aware that these imperfections can be
changed and that with enough courage to overcome these, they can have a strong relationship
with God. Through their experiences, then therefore, they can become great instruments for Jesus
to further spread the word of the Lord.
