The GMO I would conceptualize is a modified marijuana. As we know, medical marijuana has therapeutic
effects that can cure many illnesses and growing symptoms. However, due to people abusing this
specimen for recreational use, it is banned in many countries. Because of this, the advantages it could
provide for people all over the world is taken away. I’d like to create or conceptualize a plant in line with
the medical characteristics’ marijuana has but eliminates or at least decreases the negative effects it gives
to people so that it can be fully legalized in many places. That way, it can fully be for medical purposes
only and that no abuse of it can occur. However, the negative effects of marijuana that’s also used for
medical purposes would not be available in this plant. People may be hesitant to use it as it is a new
specimen that requires further studying if one was to apply it in medicine.
