NCC CADETS from DAV Public School, Jasola Vihar participated in the eight-day NCC COMBINED ANNUAL
TRAINING CAMP (CATC) from 4 to 11 August 2022, conducted by 2 Delhi Naval Unit at C-group
headquartersNCCSafdarjung enclave, Delhi, India which focused on personality development and giving a
glimpse of military camp. The camp included both Junior and Senior Wing cadets from 3 colleges and 11
schools. The camp had enrolled 500 + cadets from Delhi NCR schools and colleges. The Commanding Officer of
2 DNU motivated and welcomed the cadets to the camp.
On the first day, all the seniors of each college as well as school made the cadets’ fall-in to give them full
knowledge about what is to be done in the coming 8 days and registration process took place.
Missioned with overall development of the cadets, the camp had several workshops, drills, quarter guard, solo
singing, solo dance, group dance, tug of war, poster, skit, and group singing competition. Cadets were taught the
basic first aid and traffic rules. The most exciting event was clutching a real rifle and firing. 500+ cadets of the
Senior and Junior wing were taken to the firing range for firing.
The immense enthusiasm and zeal in cadets to learn was the main driving factor. An activity on road safety was
conducted in which all the present cadets made the map of India through human chain. Meanwhile, participants
during the camp period were also trained on important branches including the map reading, physical training,
weapons training, battle crafts and drill beside being exposed to the camp life imbibing in them the qualities of
being adventurous, disciplined, esprit-de-corps and secular values. Ample stress was also laid on character
building of the cadets.The cadets of DAV Jasola showed a great enthusiasm and participated in various
events and theirachievements are as follows-

The last day of the camp marked the day of celebration and felicitations. It included the closing
ceremony speech by Commanding Officer Nalin Kant Mishra. He addressed the cadets about the
importance of NCC and stressed on the values of discipline & determination imbibed during the
camp to be a beacon all through the rest of their life. Cadets were given a gift hampers and
certificates. The camp was aimed to transform cadets into stronger and self-disciplined. All the
cadets were quite emotional while leaving the camp. In the end Commanding Officer Nalin Kant
Mishra and Principal Dr V. K. BarthwalAppreciated the cadets and Sub Lt Naresh Singh
Bisht Associated NCC Officer for completing the camp successful with their hard work
and determination and congratulated them for their achievements. And have them
blessing to achieve their future targets.
