EXPERIMENT 08: An Active High-Pass Filter

OBJECTIVES
• To become familiar with an active high-pass filter.
• To investigate the transient analysis (Time Domain) of an
active low and high-pass filter.
• To investigate the frequency response (Frequency Domain) of
an active low and high-pass filter.
Discussion
In this laboratory, Part I: Transient Analysis. We use Tinkercad program and
LTspice program to simulate the circuit.
For Tinkercad program, we build the circuit as shown as Figure 1 and the graph
show in the Figure 2.

Conclusion
For the conclusion, in the lab 8, we used the Active Hight-Pass Filter. For the
part I, we use Transient Analysis to assemble the circuit using VCC, VEE, R1, R2
and C and apply a square input signal using frequency and draw the periods of
the input signal Vin and the output signal VO from this eq.

For part II, A Frequency Response, to apply a sinusoidal input signal Vin
and measure and record the values in table EX1. On graph I, I port the gain in

So finally, we got the knowledge about how to use the Active Hight-Pass
Filter. After we have done the laboratory08 experiment and investigate the
circuit, we can see how the output signal will be from theory and equation. And
apply the knowledge from last term to do the ltspice. For the error can be occur
from human error and using the pope to measure the value of this graph I and II.
