1. Determine the area of Euclidean Triangle with the base 8cm and height 3cm.

Solution: Given b = 8cm

h = 3cm

A = ½ bh

= ½ (8cm)(3cm)
= ½ (24cm2)
= 12cm2
2. Determine the area of an Equilateral Euclidean Triangle with side 10cm.

Solution:
Given s = 10 cm

b2 = c2 – a2
= (10cm)2 – (5cm)2 A = ½ bh
(10 cm)( 5 √3 cm)
= 100cm2 – 25cm2 =
2
5 0 √3 cm
2
= 75cm2 =
2
√ b2= √ 75 cm2 = 25√ 3 cm2
b = 5 √ 3 cm

3. Determine the hyperbolic triangle with angles 30 o, 45o and 60o

1800 – (30o + 45o + 60o)

180o – 135o
45o
4. Determine the hyperbolic triangle with angles 60 o, 90o and 120o

(60o + 90o + 120o) – 180

270o – 180o
90o

5. Determine the measure of the third angle if two of the angles measure 40 o and 80o and the
triangle is:

a. Euclidean Triangle:
180o = 40o + 80o + x
180o = 120o + x
180o = 1200 + x
180o – 120o = x
60o = x

b. Hyperbolic Triangle
∝+ β+ γ < 180
40+ 80+γ <180
120o + γ <180
γ <18 0o – 120o
γ <¿ 60o

c. ∝+ β+ γ > 180
40+ 80+γ >180
120o + γ >180
γ >18 0o – 120o
γ >¿60o
