*AT THE GARDEN*

SCENE ONE
(Rosa enters)
(Alex enters)

*Alex walks up to Rosa and hands

her a rose*

ALEX
Do you like it? I picked out myself.

*Girl 1 looks down at the rose and

smiles*

ROSA
''It's beautiful, thank you.''

*girl looks at him in awe*

ROSA
(Awkwardly)
You did a great job at today's play today

ALEX
Really? I didn't know you were there

He looks at her smiling and

slightly titling his head

ROSA
(Blushing)
of course, I was there. I would never miss it.

ALEX
do you want to meet up? tomorrow perhaps, we keep talking
but never have the chance to actually hang out.

ROSA
(In a happy voice)
That sounds great I'd love to

ALEX
See you tomorrow?, The theater room?

(Nodding and
smiling)

ACT 1

SCENE TWO
(Rosa and Alex
enter)
*Theater room*

*both watching the movies*

Boy 1 hands her the rose

Rosa
oh thank you so much!!

*girl looks at it somewhat

confused*

ROSA
(Talking to
audience)
This feels weird,it doesn't feel right

ALEX
do you like it?

ROSA
yes I do!

ALEX
I'm glad, roses are like my spirits, they guide me to find
love

ROSA
oh that sounds...Interesting

ALEX
*Looks at time and realizes its late *
oh sorry I have to get going, if you want I can drop you
off at your house

GIRL 1
no its fine I’ll just get someone to pick me up , bye bye!

(boy 1 exits)

SCENE THREE
Outside Theater Room
(Rosa enters)
(Alex enters)
(Talia enters)
(Shawn enters)

"Shawn gives Talia a purse"

SHAWN
"Here's you're gift,i tried getting a gift as pretty as
you,i hope you like it"

TALIA
"Its so beautiful,thank you so much"

(Rosa starts to get upset)

ALEX
Whats wrong?you're smile is dropping

ROSA
(Coldly)
How come i never get any expensive gifts?

ALEX
(Shocked and stuttering)
Uh-um-its not about how many expensive gifts i get for
you,its about me thinking of you and finding your beautiful
face in every place i go to,and how everything reminds me
of you

SCENE ONE
(Girl 1 enters)
(Boy 1 enters)

ROSA
(Disappointingly)
Why can't you understand? I just wish I could receive
things everyone else gets

ALEX
babe! Don’t say that, love is like a immortal feeling of
happiness you shouldn’t always choose the rich side of life
love is always over money

ROSA
(Sternly)
But its always the rich life over the love between people,
They show off their money to others to portray love

ALEX
im sorry babe but trust me I’ll try to do better to impress
you! Just have some faith in me and I’ll be able to give
you all the things you want!.

ROSA
(Disappointingly)
I just don’t get where this immortal feeling of happiness
and joy is in me, lets just go back home.

SCENE TWO
Rosa's home

ROSA

(Tearing up)
Im sorry but we can't continue like this,I don't deserve
this.

ALEX
Wha-what,what do you mean we can't continue?are u saying I
don't treat you right?

ROSA
No-no,Im sorry,i don't know what to say,i just can't
understand how everyone gets this special treatment by
their partners while i don't,i just need a break and need
someone else,I'm sorry I can't-
*Storms off*
(Rosa exits)

ALEX
But-but,wait.Why is this happening,why can't i ever make
someone happy,god dammit
(Says in a angry-upsetting way)

(Alex exits)

ACT 1

SCENE THREE
(Alex enters)
(Rosa enters)

Theatre room

NARRATOR
The next day Rosa is seen by a couple of her dear friends
entering the theatre room with a mysterious bucket while
Alex is acting out the dreams of his once vivid love Rosa
can be seen sneaking into the side of his main stage

ALEX
to my love i give you roses to represent the blossom of
our newly found love the shine in your eyes shining
brighter than the stars i like to practice under to show
love to you i give you one perfect rose

*Rosa dumps all the roses on the

stage and grabs a mic standing
beside her*

ROSA
(Screaming)
one perfect rose? one perfect rose? one perfect rose!?

*Alex runs of the stage from

embarrassment*

*Rosa steps on to the stage*

ROSA
( starts throwing roses at the audience)
A single flow'r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet-
One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;
'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet

*she pics up the last rose and

rips a petal off*
