our first stop is “storyville”
the city of new orleans. speaking of
peanut butter and jam, the piano
players name is “Jellyroll”
he invented early jazz
right here in the “usa”

next stop “satchmo’s”
this is a kool finger snappin, toe tappin,
traditional jazz band. the great
“satchmo” sings and plays cornet.
the trumpet players name is “bix”
those two fantastic trapset drummers are
“baby” and “zutty”

“duke’ plays piano, “prez” plays the
tenor saxophone, “benny’ plays
clarinet. dig those two drummers,
“papa joe” and “chick”

the trumpet players name is “dizzy”
“bird” plays the alto sax, that’s “klook”
and “max” on drums. the pianist has a
really kool name.
“thelonious sphere monk”
you can just call him “monk”

keep up with me jazz kats, lets stop
and listen to this quartet. that’s
“oscar” playing piano, the singers are
“lady day” “ella” and “ole blue eyes”
ella can scat using her voice without
words. that was beautiful.

This trio includes “bill” on piano,
“Scott” on the big double bass and
“Paul” on the drumset.
