- TPS tracks daily routine transactions that are essential to conduct business.
MIS makes heavy use of data from TPS though it also utilizes data from

2. Mobile Applications and Intelligent Systems are two of the most advanced
information system types today. How do they differ from each other?

- I agree that both Mobile Applications and Intelligent Systems are the two
most advanced Information system types today. It’s easy to explain the
difference from the two, Mobile Applications is an application model in
information systems that mainly focus on Mobile. From the word mobile we
can think of applications such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Office. Mobile
Applications is best for businesses whose customers are mainly targeted
online for faster and more convenient transactions. On the other hand,
Intelligent Systems or we can call it Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a science
of allowing information technologies to stimulate human intelligence, such
as reasoning and learning, gaining sensing capabilities such as seeing,
hearing, or feeling human experiences. Intelligent systems can be used
specially in banking, and financial management, medical, engineering, and
the military.
3. It is stated that Office Automation Systems and Knowledge Management
Systems are both used to enhance and optimize collaboration. In your
opinion, which of them provides a better collaboration platform for
organizations?
- In my own opinion, Office Automation Systems (OAS) provides a better
collaboration platform for organizations. Because unlike the Knowledge
Management Systems (KMS), Office Automation Systems have applications
that would be very useful in an organization where employees can
collaborate. Such systems include word processors (Microsoft Word),
spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), presentation software (Microsoft
PowerPoint), collaboration systems for email (Microsoft Outlook),
automated calendaring, and thread discussions.
