Filament winding procedure


In this procedure, a bundle of filaments made of fiber is conveyed through liquid epoxy and
wrapped upon a spinning “mandrel” which cross lengthwise along with the spinning mandrel's
center. This route through which filaments passed should accurately reflect a geodesic pathway
until sticky “pre-impregnated” fiber strands are employed. This means that the pathway should
be in a way that when fiber bundles are pulled they should not slip. A geodesic pathway is
characterized as an uncomplicated winding track upon a cylinder (Asyraf et al., 2022). However,
the pool of potential routes turns comparatively small, when curving in two directions is
incorporated such as a glob. The typical procedure of filament winding is illustrated in fig 2.
