    Greetings,

    It is with great pleasure that I recommend Logan Blatt to the teacher education program at
    James Madison University! I have taught Logan in four different classes and have a deep
    understanding of his ability and growth as an educator. Logan is a strong instructor, musician,
    and student. I fully believe that he will be a successful teacher after graduating from James
    Madison University.

    Logan demonstrates the acute awareness and care needed to become a successful music
    educator. During peer teaching and practicum experiences, Logan adapts to his environment to
    meet the needs of who he is teaching. As a peer instructor, Logan creates a safe and welcoming
    learning experience where he accurately models and executes the learning expectations.
    Additionally, during class, Logan routinely provides thoughtful contributions to sensitive
    discussions focused on inequity and being an advocate for students.

    Logan’s vast experiences as a musician highlights the breadth of his abilities. He is a well-
    rounded musician as evidenced in his participation in the multiple choir ensembles at James
    Madison University. In addition to being a successful vocalist, Logan is also a proficient guitarist.
    Outside of his experiences at James Madison University, Logan has experience as an instrument
    sales associate where he was responsible for making minor instrument repairs and assisting
    costumers. His varied musical experiences highlight his strength as a musician and his ability to
    become a successful music educator.

    Logan embraces the vigilance needed to be an educator and holds himself to high expectations.
    His priority, as a preservice teacher, is to grow, learn, and sharpen his skills as an educator. His
    admittance to the teacher education program at James Madison University would be a positive
    reflection on the program.
