The document describes a research instrument that was tested for internal validity and reliability. It involved creating pretests and posttests in the Anki app about a nursing subject, consisting of a set number of questions to determine the efficacy of using digital flashcards. The questionnaire was divided into sections: Section A collected demographic data; Section B addressed characteristics of using digital flashcards; Section C addressed practice amount and use; and Section D addressed longevity of use and its relationship to academic performance. Sections B-D used a Likert scale for respondents to specify their level of agreement with statements.

A pretest and posttest
would be created in the Anki app regarding a specific nursing subject (insert subject) which each test consists of (insert number ng qs) to help determine the efficacy of utilization of the digital flashcard app. Likert scale is an ordered scale which was used to help identify which respondents choose one option that best align with their view. This scale is often used to measure respondents’ attitudes by asking the extent to which they agree or disagree with a particular statement. Section A of the questionnaire sought to determine the demographic information of the respondents in terms of their codename/alias, age, gender, and civil status. Section B of the questionnaire consists of the general characteristics of digital flashcard use which the respondents answered based on their perception of the Anki app. Section C of the questionnaire addressed the perceived amount of practice and how the digital flashcards are used. Finally, section D concerned the extent of longevity of use of the digital flashcard to determine if the amount of practice in using this application has a relationship with the respondents’ academic performance. Both sections B, C and D utilized the Likert scale since when responding to Likert-based questionnaire items, the respondents specified their level of agreement with a statement. They were asked to check the number that best corresponded to their answer regarding the extent of utilization and the perceived benefits of digital flashcards among nursing students.
