towards performing arts school and its current condition.

Research Instruments

1. Questionnaire – This is a printed form containing questions. This will be distributed to

the general population from which questions regarding the opinion of the public in
concern with the subject. Preference for the use of the structured questionnaire is
premised on several research assumptions such as a) cost of being a least expensive
means of gathering data, b) avoidance of personal bias.

2. Interview schedule – Contains more open-ended questions, these questions will be more
specific to people who work around the field of art schools and the performing arts.
These will include teachers, school administrators, professionals in theater management,
professionals in the field of the performing arts such as actors, musicians, and dancers, as

for materials that will support the use of method to make possible for this topic:

 Photo Documentary taken form visited sites

 Books, journals, articles and magazines.

Statistical treatment of Data

Responses will be statistically analyzed with the data requirements of the study.
Descriptive statistics such as frequency count, mean, percent and rank are considered.

Percentage:

% = _f_ X 100

Where: % means percentage

f means frequency

n means number of cases or total sample

As for Stratified Random Sampling, proportionate stratification will be used. The sample
size of each stratum is proportionate to the population size of the stratum. Strata sample sizes are
determined by the following equation:

nh = ( Nh / N ) * n

where nh is the  sample size for stratum h, Nh is the population size for stratum h, N is total
population size, and n is total sample size.
