1) Design a bandpass filter operating at 2 GHz with a bandwidth of 0.5 GHz. The filter should be design using
microstrip transmission lines and it should be matched to 50 Ω at the input and output. The filter should
have rejection of at-least 30 dB at 1 GHz and 3 GHz. Moreover, the passband ripples should be under 0.1

dB. Obtain the layout of the filter and simulate its scattering parameters to verify that the desired
specifications are met.
2) Design a matching network to transform the optimum load impedance of the amplifier to the conjugate of
the input impedance of the antenna at 2 GHz, which will insure maximum power transfer from AMP to
antenna. The matching network network should be design using microstrip transmission lines. Obtain the
layout of the matching network and simulate its scattering parameters to verify that the desired
specifications are met.
Task 1:
First we make band pass filter using filter design in ads

Task 2:
For impedance matching we use smith chart of ads an obtain the circuit and tune to get desired
scattering parameters

Conclusion:
By using ADS we can easily match the amplifier and we can also make the matching network
and we can also transform the network in micro strip
