    Individual VSC neurons in 1–2 d old cocultures were assayed for the expression
    of agrin Z-site isoform mRNAs by RT-PCR. Neurons were scored for the presence
    or absence of induced AChR aggregation on the myotube. Numbers in parenthe-
    ses indicate the number of neurons expressing only one isoform.
