A PROPOSED “2022 FILIPINO VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION” ACTIVITY

I. ACTIVITY DATA

Activity Title : 2022 FILIPINO VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION


Proposed Date : November 4, 2022
Target Date : November 7-25, 2022
Venue : ULA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

II. RATIONALE:
Presidential Proclamation No. 479 issued on October 7, 1994, declared the month of
November every year as the Filipino Values Month , Filipinos of all ages and from all
sectors of our society are hereby enjoined to actively participate in the observance thereof.
In response to the need to improve and to create a moral awakening and national
consciousness on human values that are unique, genuine and positively Filipino ,the school
embraced the celebration of Filipino Values Month anchored in Filipino culture, pro-people
and pro-country. Ula National High School plans to hold an activity that commemorate
Filipino Values Month with the theme: “Magagandang Kaugaliang Pilipino: Isabuhay at
Pagyamanin Tungo sa Matiwasay at Maunlad na Kinabukasan”.

III. OBJECTIVE:
The celebration seeks to promote greater consciousness of values that are uniquely and positively
practiced by Filipinos, specifically, it aims to:
1. Enhance the learners’ leadership values and skills;
2. Encourage learners’ creative talents through participation in various activities;
3. Motivate learners to appreciate the Filipino Values and culture, and instill in each
learner the Filipino values.

IV. METHODOLOGY :

1. The following are the activities for the face to face conduct of Values Month Celebration:

Mechanics and criteria:
1. There should be 1 participant in each section.
2. The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme.
3. The participant will use ¼ illustration board.
4. The theme for the poster making shall be: “Magagandang
Kaugaliang Pilipino: Isabuhay at Pagyamanin Tungo sa
Matiwasay at Maunlad na Kinabukasan”.
5. The entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
CREATIVITY/PRESENTATION-25%
ORIGINALITY -15%
RELEVANCE TO THE THEME -30%
VISUAL IMPACT -30%
TOTAL =100%
6. Declared winner will receive a certificate of recognition.

2:00 pm-4:00 pm ESPasalaysay
There should be 1 participant in each section.
1. The essay must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme.
2. The participant will use intermediate paper.
3. The theme for the Essay Writing shall be: “Magagandang
Kaugaliang Pilipino: Isabuhay at Pagyamanin Tungo sa
Matiwasay at Maunlad na Kinabukasan”.
4.Entries will be judged according to:
Content (relevance to the theme) - 50 %
Organization of words - 30 %
Originality - 20 %
TOTAL= = 100
5. Declared winner will receive a certificate of recognition.

 ESPatalinuhan (Tagis-Talino Contest)
1. There should be 5 groups compose of 4 members. (Advisers
in each level will select 5 representatives)
2. All representatives in each level will be grouped to another
groupings . The group now will be represented by Grade 7,
Grade 8, Grade 9 and Grade 10 students.
2. There will be 3 levels of difficulty: Easy Round, Average Round
and Difficult Round
2. The participants will help each other to answer the questions.
3. The group with the highest scores will be declared as winner.

(Classroom-Based
 Bible Sharing (within Family)
(To be instructed by ESP subject teachers in their respective classes)
Activities: c/o ESP - Students together with their parents are asked to conduct Bible
Subject Teachers) sharing within family.
 Bible Memory Verse- students will recite a
bible verse for Catholics and respective teaching for non-Catholics
using their own Bible.
-Students will be asked to find/memorize a bible text/verse and to be
shared with their classmates in their respective ESP classes.
 Each participant will be given additional points as their
performance task in ESP.
 ESPanonood
(Film-Viewing activity related to Filipino Values)
 Mr/Ms BAE (Batang Alagad ng ESP) –
the adviser in each section will select outstanding student(one
student per section) that shows the values of being : Masipag,
Masunurin, Mapagmahal, Maaasahan, Matiyaga, Magalang,
Matulungin, Matapat

V. TARGET CLIENTELE/ PARTICIPANTS


The participants in the Values Month celebration activity are Grade
7-12 students accompanied by their advisers, teachers, parents.
