GRADUATION SPEECH

Thank you for the warm introduction. And good evening to our beloved Principal Mr.
Kwok Chee Yen, respected teachers of Sung Siew, parents and the amazing graduands
of Sung Siew 2022. Before I start, can we all please give a round of applause for the
respected teachers and family members who have sacrificed greatly to help us to this
point in life.

It's an honor to be chosen to deliver this graduation speech in front of everyone.

Standing here, I look back and reflect on the four years of memories that we have made
together, and I must say, I am nothing but proud of it.

Firstly, I must express my gratitude towards Mr Kwok. I remember vividly the day he
entered our class and gave us a big warm smile. He told us that success must come
with hard work and motivated us to study harder. Words cannot begin to express my
gratitude to how he changed my mindset. I would also like to express my gratitude to
the teachers who have assisted me in my school career. Mr Wilson gave me a lot of
personal life advice which I'm grateful for. Madam Teresa and Mr Moh put a lot of effort
into guiding us. Cg Suhaimi, your Sejarah lessons were always the most energetic.
Madam chong, ur creative teaching boosts our love for chemistry. Cikgu Sarah is
devoted to helping students to achieve good grades. Cikgu Normewah, you were
always kind and willing to help anyone.Cikgu Ustaz Mandzar Kassim, thank you for
making the class more enjoyable.Teacher Wong, always teaching our class with
patience .Miss Loo, always chill with us students. Miss Lim, teaching us Chinese
students with great care. Miss Liao, who improved my English immensely. Cikgu
Yasseir, our active pj teacher whom we are close with. My gratitude to you for all you
have done, which I will never forget. I truly appreciate you and your time you spent
helping me on many occasions.

When I first stepped into this school, I had never imagined that I could make so many
indelible memories in our class that make me laugh, make me cry and inspire me. I still
remember the days we didn't finish our homework and had to copy the answers from
each other. We played together, studied together and created unforgettable
memories together. I'm glad to have classmates like you guys who stood by my
side and went through thick and thin together . Ryan, you sometimes
backstabbed me but I'm grateful that you still helped me complete this speech.
Edison, our class monitor but always the chatty one in class, whenever there's
noise it must be coming from you. Though, I can sincerely tell you that you are
the most hardworking and responsible class monitor I have ever met. Caleb, a
wonderful teacher who guided me in my studies. Jason, the class joker who
provided joy to our class. And classmates of 5E, you guys are the best and i am
proud of it.Thank you. All of you. Without you guys I cant imagine how I would
have passed through these 5 years of my school career.

Well, class of 2022, we are now officially graduates of Sung Siew Secondary School.
Congratulations. Each of you, yes, every single one of you, should be bursting with
pride. We did it, we all accomplished one of our major milestones in life: high school
graduation. This is a huge step in the journey of our lives, one that shall be recognised
as a significant checkpoint before we head out into the world. We all faced trials and
tribulations to get to this day and our work did not go to waste. Well done everyone and
congratulations again.

Senator Orrin Hatch once said:” Graduation is not the end, it’s the beginning of our
lives.” Farewell my friends as graduation is never the end but a start for us to embrace
our lives. Well, my speech has come to an end, although I am reluctant to leave the
school, our journey must go on. In closing, let us give ourselves a big, warm, ginormous
round of applause for making it to this point of life. I wish you all the best in your lives.
Now before I cry I need end this speech with our school slogan:
