WEEK 6: READY-MADE? NOPE!

Instructions:
Several websites provide ready-made speeches that public speakers are welcome to use as
their own. Aside from the dishonesty involved, why would using such speeches be a mistake?
Utilizing ready-made speeches is a mistake since you are using someone else's speech.
As an excellent speaker, you must present a speech that is authentic to you. It is OK to seek
ideas, but only as a standard of comparison. Using pre-written speeches may result in
plagiarism. You are utilizing someone else's words, which makes you inauthentic since you are
unable to explain your feelings or the manner in which you would deliver the speech which is
not your own. To be able to present the speech efficiently as credible speakers, we must deliver
a speech that originates from our own ideas.
