Using ready-made speeches found online would be a mistake for three key reasons: 1) It would involve dishonesty since the speech is not authentic and original to the speaker; 2) An excellent speaker must present a speech that is authentic and comes from their own ideas and words, rather than someone else's; 3) Simply copying a pre-written speech could result in plagiarism, and the speaker may be unable to fully explain their own feelings or intended delivery since the speech does not originate from them.

WEEK 6: READY-MADE? NOPE!
Instructions: Several websites provide ready-made speeches that public speakers are welcome to use as their own. Aside from the dishonesty involved, why would using such speeches be a mistake? Utilizing ready-made speeches is a mistake since you are using someone else's speech. As an excellent speaker, you must present a speech that is authentic to you. It is OK to seek ideas, but only as a standard of comparison. Using pre-written speeches may result in plagiarism. You are utilizing someone else's words, which makes you inauthentic since you are unable to explain your feelings or the manner in which you would deliver the speech which is not your own. To be able to present the speech efficiently as credible speakers, we must deliver a speech that originates from our own ideas.
