Case Scenario 1
The patient was a 50-year-old man without systemic diseases such as
diabetes mellitus or hypertension. He underwent a health examination which
included colonoscopy. Colonoscopy revealed two small polyps at the cecum
and the sigmoid colon. He began experiencing epigastria with diaphoresis.
He described the abdominal pain as dull and continuous.
Medical Impression: Colonoscopy
Type of Diet: Clear Liquid Diet
Case Scenario 2
A patient evaluated by gastro intestinal and found to have a gastric tumor.
Advanced gastric cancer at least stage 3. No family history of GI tract
identified. The patient having symptoms of abdominal pain, pain, fever,
nausea, and vomiting. Surgeon orders to avoid foods and drinks high in fat
and sugar and patient in full liquid diet.
