Project Synopsis

Inventory management is the practice of overseeing and controlling the ordering, storage and use of
components that a company uses in the production of the items it sells. The purposes of the inventory system
are to know the details of the items including code, name, condition, location of items and the year of
purchase. It is also to make it easy to manage the item. Usually, creating an inventory list can be done in two
ways either manually or computerized. Manually inventorying is usually written data with handwriting on
the data books. It has many disadvantages. One of them is when the admin staff input the data, it is prone to
typographical errors.

Warehouses and distribution centers have a tremendous amount of inventory. Inventory accuracy is key in
retail showrooms and across the supply chain to ensure that customers find exactly what they need. Counting
these inventory items efficiently would provide great benefits and improve overall accuracy. This inventory
management system will help the process of inventorying using mobile applications for collecting data
information. RFID technology is a unique tagging solution for each item that stores information from the
server through the local network. The implementation of this system for Inventory Management System
could be a solution for managing the inventorying process and storing information on inventory through
RFID.

This project aims to develop a mobile application to collect and process inventory data for GREENPACK
INDUSTRIES, AURANGABAD.
