WOMEN CELL Committee of the Dharampeth M.P.Deo Memorial Science

College, Nagpur organized a Guest Lecture on “Gender Sensitization’ on 4th
February 2021 on Google Meet in collaboration with Cell for prevention of
Sexual Harassment. Dr.Mrs. Shraddha Deshpande, Convener of Women Cell
introduced the Chief Guest.Dr. Prajakta Kaduskar was the Chief Speaker and
Dr.Kamlakar Deoghare, President, Nagpur Adolescent Health Academy also
spoke on the occasion. She guided students about the Gender Stereotypes in
different stages our lives and also emphasized on costs of discrimination. It was
followed by the question answer session. Mrs. Manju Deshpande, Convener of
Cell for prevention of Sexual Harassment conducted the programme. Dr.Vidya
Katoke, Associate Professor, Microbiology proposed a vote of thanks.The
programme was successful due to the constant support of esteemed members of
Dharampeth Education Society, Principal, Dr. Akhilesh Peshwe, Vice Principal,
Dr.Mrs. Archana Kulkarni. More than 80 students were present in the webinar.

Science College, Nagpur organized a Guest Lecture on “General
Awareness on Holistic Wellness” on 1st March 2021 on Google Meet in
collaboration with Pratibha Shakti Vidarbha. Dr. Aparna Sadachar was the
Chief Speaker and she emphasized that holistic health is very important,
and it is the physical, mental, spiritual, and practical utopia of the human
experience. Mrs. Vaishali Deo gave the introductory remarks. Dr.Mrs.
Shraddha Deshpande, Convener of Women Cell spoke on Women cell
activities of the College. Mrs. Varsha Tatwawadi, President, Pratibha
Shakti Vidarbha, introduced the Chief Speaker. The programme was
successful due to the constant support of esteemed members of
Dharampeth Education Society, Principal, Dr. Akhilesh Peshwe, Vice

Women Cell of Dharampeth M.P.Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur celebrated
International Womens’ Day on 8th March 2021. The Chief Guest of the programme was
Honourable Dr. Mrs. Shashikala Wanjari, Vice Chancellor, SNDT University of Women,
Mumbai. She emphasized that “Women are groomed in Eco system of the Education but having
empowered them with education we also need to give them a chance to express themselves
through their role in decision making and creative ability. They should be involved in the
process of planning, decision making and execution.” The presidential address was given Adv.
Ulhas Aurangabadkar, President of Dharampeth Education Society, Nagpur. He stressed that
“We generally create awareness about what are the duties of women but we don't generate
awareness in them about their rights. We need to ensure that education given to them generates
awareness of their rights and privileges too”. Principal Dr. Akhilesh V Peshwe welcomed all the
guests and made the introductory remarks. Vice Principal of Senior College, Dr.Mrs. Archana
Kulkarni, Vice Principal of Junior College, Mrs. Vinaya Kashikar, Supervisor, Mrs. Shobha
Zalke, Teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students were present on the occasion. The
programme was compered by Mrs. Ashwini Shiledar Lecturer, Department of Chemistry,
Junior Colege. Dr.Mrs. Shraddha Deshpande, Convener of Women Cell and her team worked
