The Tughlaq dynasty, also referred to as Tughluq or Tughluk dynasty, Third dynasty in Delhi

Sultanate was a Muslim dynasty of Indo-Turkic origin which ruled over the Delhi sultanate in medieval
India. Its reign started in 1320 in Delhi when Ghazi Malik assumed the throne under the title
of GhiysudDin Tughluq. The dynasty ended in 1413.

1- Ghiyasuddin Tughluq founded the Tughlaq dynasty in 1320 by ending the Khilji dynasty.
He gave special attention to justice and police to maintain law and order.
He founded the city tughlaqabad near delhi. Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq died mysteriously
while he was returning from Bengal.

2- Muhammad bin Tughlaq- Muhammad bin Tughlaq was the son Ghiyasuddin Tughluq.
He was pheraps the most striking figure of medival Indian history.he extended the empire
most. He was learned but was also confused.it was his ambition to shift his capital from delhi
to devagiri and name it dualatabad.he took common people as well with him to shift the
whole kingdom. Many died on the way.as he went there it was very hard for him to rule in
the south. He returned back to Delhi. In the process of shifting the capital a lot of money
from treasury got expensed.to fill the treasury back with gold coins he issued copper coins
which had same face value of gold and silver. However, he took back his idea as every village
started minting the copper coins.in return of copper coins he issued them gold coins,which
made the treasure more empty.

3- Feroz shah Tughlaq-as Muhammad bin Tughlaq left no male heir , his nephew feroz shah
Tughlaq was nominated by the nobles as his successor.
He did not try to regain the lost provinces, instead started many schemes for the welfare
of his subjects. He built many dams, buildings and gardens. Feroz shah Tughlaq is
remembered for the forts and mosques he built than his conquests.
The successors of Feroz shah were weak. They some how managed to rule till 1399.
Then Tughlaq dynasty ended and the sayyaids started
