LESSON PLAN AUGUST

NOTES:
1. Teacher will develop self and co – assessment process in order to reflect
about the teaching-learning process and looking for strategies in the group
to keep improving in the }
*subject; teacher will clarify some aspects to take into account to evaluate
the process.
2. Teacher will socialize final grades and students will write down and share it
at home.
3. Teacher will share and socialize with student competences and
performances of the third term.
4. Teacher did not develop completely the last topic in the previous lesson plan
since she reinforced topics in which students had difficulties and based on
flexibility of curriculum teacher decided take more time in the reinforcement.

TOPIC: WILD ANIMALS


GRAMMAR TOPIC: HAVE GOT- HAS GOT / VERB TO BE
V: Students will practice new vocabulary about animals´ body parts watching a
funny video from Steve and Maggie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=X3I_LvwJS9Y then teacher will ask some questions about vocabulary
mentioned in the video like DOES A LION HAS GOT WINGS?, additionally
teacher will show them some flashcards about animals ‘body parts to give them
ideas for possible correct answer. After that students will play and online game
from British council page

https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/word-games/animal-body-parts-2 in order
to practice this vocabulary. At the end they will create ANIMAL ANATOMY BOOK
where they will cut and paste different animals body parts from different species.
C-D: Teacher will introduce new grammar topic through an amazing Reading about
three expeditions who found out an unexplored forest and they discovered new
species with different physical features. Teacher will show them each ANIMAL and
she will explain each physical description using HAS GOT, and then teacher will
check student´s understanding asking them some questions base on the Reading.
At the end, they will write the information in their notebooks.
AM: they will play a game called: guess what is the animal? ¡!!! In this game each
student will choose and animal, then they will draw it and describe it using has got
and according to the roulette,one students will have to read the description about
her/ his animal and another classmate has to guess what is the animal.
AP: Students will develop Reading comprehension activities like oral and writing
productions about the topic and vocabulary learned in this lesson, they will create
an unexplored forest like craft and they will describe three new species that they
found out in the expedition. Teacher will apply the co- self-assessment
STARTER EXAM: Students will develop speaking exercise in order to practice
questions based on CAMBRIEDGE EXAM. EVERY H5

TOPIC: WHAT´S IN THE FRIDGE?

After that teacher will organize the group to prepare a delicious fruit salad and in a
power point presentation teacher will divide ingredients between countable and
uncountable and she will give the recipe’s instructions step by step underline
quantifiers words like some, a, an, a little, a few, a lot. At the end teacher will ask
some questions like:
 How many bananas do you peel for your salad?
 How much condensed milk do you pour in the salad?
C-D: Teacher will introduce the new grammar topic using a picture of a full fridge,
she will describe in oral way each countable and uncountable fruit, vegetable or
drink, then teacher will use a chart divided in two parts in order to explain the
differences between countable and uncountable like also the use of how many and
how much and some quantifiers. Students will write the information and draw each
picture in their notebooks.
