1. Why is folk dance important?

it keeps a culture of the people alive, by sharing and teaching
younger generations the dances. Dance keeps the history of people
alive as well. the Dances are ways a community celebrates a
special event or important date in time

2. What is the history of folk dance?

Cultural dances came into being with a social function, weaving
recreation into celebrations and important agricultural events

3. How do folk dances reflect Filipino culture?

Folk dance reflects the culture and tradition of Filipinos for we know
that Filipinos does'nt have much knowledge about dances before not
until when Spaniards colonize the Philippines and shared the folk dance
with the Philippines and started to grow and become a part of
Philippines history. Also when dancing Filipinos wear their national
costumes which is the "baro't saya" . Also, Filipinos love dancing, and
folk dance was one of the first dances that Filipinos formally knew and
dancing folk dances makes Filipinos happy

4. Why is Philippine folk dance unique?

it`s unique because it tells a story behind every move/step
