BMC Case Study

 Newly wedded couples had to get themselves registered after marriage at


Bhopal Municipal Corporation BMC.
 Property tax, water charges, birth and death registration, etc was also handled
by BMC.
 Every process was long and hectic for both workers and public.
ISSUES;
 BMC had 70 wards in different zones or region and each of them was governed
by different zonal officer.
 Each ward had their own style of working that citizens would have to follow for
certificates to be issued and availing BMC services.
 All the data was segregated and kept by the ward officer. So accessing and
sharing data was very challenging.
 Public as well as workers were used to old methods, convincing them to change
was the most difficult task.
GOAL;
 Integrate all municipal services onto a single web-based platform and provide
efficient, automated services to the city’s 1.8 million residents.
 BMC partnered up with Deloitte, implemented SAP ERP system across their 70
wards.
 Deloitte provided seamless integration from citizen-facing services to back-office
functions.
OUTCOME;
 Enabled online transparent delivery of all municipal services.
 Created visibility into citizen account history.
 Ended time-consuming manual processes for tax computations, assessment, and
account reconciliations.
 More efficiently managed back-office services (including procurement, inventory
management, accounting, and HR).

Warehouse Management
Step 1- Purchase Order
Create an immediate purchase order for materials from a supplier, i.e. to start the
procurement process without having created a purchase requisition before.
Step 2- Display Material Inventory
Display the inventory of your material.
Step 3- Display Material Inventory Value
Display the value of your material inventory.
Step 4- Receive Goods
Create a goods receipt which documents the receiving of your materials in a plant.
Step 5- Display Material Inventory
Display the inventory of your material again.
Step 6- Display Material Inventory Value
Display the value of your material inventory again.
Step 7- Run Bin Status Report
Display a detailed report of each storage bin within the specified warehouse.
Step 8- Transfer Order
It is a handoff from inventory management to warehouse management. The system
recognizes that there are goods that have been received but need to be put away.
