RESEARCII COIWENTION

1. The Philippine Schools District Supervisors Association (PSDSA) Inc. will hold
the Public Schools Distrtct Supervlsors Second Natloaal Research Convention
with the theme Embracing and Adopting Changes in Education Through Research
lnnovations, from January 24 to 26, 2023 at the Baguio Teachers Camp, Baguio
City.

2. The Convention aims to

a. enhance research capability relevant to education,
b. keep abreast of latest trends in research innovation,
c. provide opportunities for research collaboration and presentation
among educators and practitioners from different regions, and
d. share best practices for utilization of research lindings.

3. Participants to this convention are Public

Schools District Supervisors
(PSDSs) and Acting/Designated PSDSs nationwide. Two representatives from DepEd
Employees' Associations Coordinating Offrce shall likewise attend to observe the
conduct of the activity. The attendance to this undertaking shall be considered on
oflicial business.
4. A registration fee of Six Thousand Pesos (P6,OOO) shall be charged to each
participant to cover expenses for the accommodation, meals, honoraria of resource
speakers, facilitators, training materials, and other incidental expenses chargeable
to Special Education Fund/Local School Board Fund/Division MOOE/Local Funds,
subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

II. RATIOIIALE: To ensure quality implementation of various programs, activities

and projects leading to school excellence, it is the task of Public Schools
District Supervisors to consistently conduct research in addressing issues and
gaps in districts and schools. T?ris can only be done if supervisors are well
equipped in research. This program will equip and update Public Schools
District Supervisors on their role as tnstructional Leader and keep abreast on
latest issues and concem in research.

III. OB.TEICTMS: T?re Research Convention aims to:

a. Enhance research capability relevant to education.
b- Keep abreast on latest trends in Resea-rch Innovation.
c. Provide opportunities for research collaboration and presentation among
educators and practitioners from different regions.
d. Share best practices for utilization of research frndings.

IV. DATE Af,D VEIIUE: November 15-17 , 2022 at Teachers' Camp, Baguio City

V. PARrICIPAIITS: All Public Schools District Supervisors, Acting/Designated

PSDSs nationwide, and two (2) representatives from DEACO

VI. R.EGISrRATIOtr: Registration of participa.nts shall be made online. The

deadline for registration is on 28 October 2022 Fndayl. Interested participants
may register through the link provided below after payment of the registration
fee.

VII. ARRML OF PARTICIPAIIITS: Arrival and registration shatl be in the morning

of November 15,2022 (Day 1). The first meal to be served will be afternoon
snacks on the same day, while the last meal will be lunch on November 17,
2022 (Day 3), the last day of the convention.

VIII. TECHXICAL WORIflIIG GROIIP: The Technical Working Group members

shall be considered participants and shall pay their registration fees. They shall
be authorized to travel one (1) day before the start of the convention for the
necessary preparations- A copy of the composition of the TWG is enclosed-
