HOW TO INTERPRET

Use these results as inputs for your own critical reflection. Your scores are presented via percentages. To meaningfully
interpret your results, use the following guidelines (inspired by how Gallup uses the Cantril 0-10 point scale):

https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ik=fa9340c342&view=pt&search=all&permthid=thread-f%3A1751431601829615905&simpl=msg-f%3A1751431601829615905 1/10

Percentage scores within the range of 0% up to 40% can be interpreted as "suffering" or "low well-being". A "suffering"
result means your well-being is at high risk. Respondents who are "suffering" are more likely to report lacking the basics of
food and shelter, more likely to have physical pain, a lot of stress, worry, sadness, and anger. "Suffering" respondents
have less access to health insurance and care, and more than double the disease burden, in comparison to “thriving”
respondents. Keep in mind that a low score certainly does not mean that you are in a hopeless situation. Instead, a score
below the thriving zone just indicates that you have substantial room for improvement and growth.

A "struggling" or "surviving" result means your wellbeing is moderate or inconsistent (overall wellbeing score ranging from
41 to 69%). "Struggling" respondents have moderate views of their present life situation OR moderate OR negative views
of their future. "Struggling" respondents are either struggling in the present, or expect to struggle in the future. "Struggling"
respondents report more daily stress and worry about money than the “thriving” respondents, and more than double the
amount of sick days. They are more likely to smoke, and are less likely to eat healthy.

A "thriving" result means your well-being is strong, consistent, and progressing (score of 70 to 100%). "Thriving"
respondents have positive views of their present life situation and have positive views of the next five years. "Thriving"
respondents report significantly fewer health problems, fewer sick days, less worry, stress, sadness, anger, and more
happiness, enjoyment, interest, and respect.

*Dimensions with [*] are interpreted in reverse. A score between 0% to 40% are considered thriving; 41 to 69% struggling
or surviving; 70 to 100% suffering.

COMPREHENSIVE INVENTORY OF THRIVING

The construct of psychological well-being is multifaceted and is composed of seven core theoretical dimensions: (1)
subjective well-being (SWB) in the form of high life satisfaction and positive feelings, (2) supportive and enriching
relationships, (3) interest and engagement in daily activities, (4) meaning and purpose in life, (5) a sense of mastery and
accomplishment, (6) feelings of control and autonomy, and (7) optimism.

Subjective well-being
Subjective-well-being can be conceived of as an internal barometer of “how life is going”—it is a gauge of the extent to
which other aspects of psychological well-being or needs are fulfilled. This aims to assess how well you perceive your life
satisfaction and the presence of positive feelings in your life.

Relationship
This refers to your self-perception of having supportive and enriching relationships in your life.

Engagement
This refers to your level of interest and engagement in the activities that you do.

Mastery
This refers to your sense of accomplishment, learning, self-esteem, and competency in doing your tasks.

Autonomy
This refers to your sense of autonomy and independence. Inversely, a low sense of autonomy means you feel that other
people are controlling your decision and actions.

Meaning
This refers to your sense of meaning and purpose in life and career

Optimism
This refers to your sense of hopefulness and positive outlook.

INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (IHD)

IHD refers to the development of the whole person (hence, "integral) in communion with others and with the whole of
creation. IHD is a human-centered development perspective, which holds that authentic development means becoming
“more human”.

Every human being is complex, with multiple identities that shape our experiences in countless ways. We define ourselves
through our work, our cultural identities, our artistic creativity, our religious and spiritual practices, and our relationships

with others around the world—our families, our communities, and all of humanity. Integral human development embraces
this complexity.

According to Pope Paul VI in his Encyclical Letter Populorum Progressio, "The development of peoples must be well
rounded; it must foster the development of each man and of the whole man." While the term “integral human
development” derives from Catholic social teachings, the concept isn’t unique to any one faith tradition, or even to faith at
all. It’s a universal way of thinking about, interacting with, and understanding others.

In "Managing as if faith mattered" by Alford and Naughton, they elaborated on different dimensions of IHD.

Material goods
This refers to the ability to provide for one's self and one’s family with the means for survival and further development (i.e.,
food, shelter, clothing, etc.). Material goods support human development by addressing our basic human needs, such as
food and proper shelter.

Bodily development
This refers to the perception of one's environment as protecting and enabling one's physical health.

Cognitive development
This refers to developing and contributing one’s talents and skills; cultivating one’s understanding of one’s life and work;
contributing one’s mental gifts to solve problems.

Emotional development
This refers to one's capability to take initiative without fear of reprisal; exercising responsibility and accepting
accountability for actions and work; being attuned to one’s feelings and those of others.

Aesthetic development
This refers to one's capability to develop craftsmanship and have life experiences with an eye for beauty, elegance and
harmony with nature; serving and delivering work in ways that honor the human dignity of both the provider and the
receiver.

Social development
This refers to dealing with others fraternally and promoting such among others; developing one’s social conscience; taking
initiatives in the direction of service to the wider community.

Moral development
This refers to developing greater discernment of the moral soundness of one’s actions; developing relationships that
demonstrate respect for the human dignity of all.

Spiritual development
This refers to understanding one’s life and work as a calling/vocation, and valued as collaborating with others, in the
presence of God (or a recognition of a "higher power" for the non-religious), for the good of one’s fellow human beings.

Spiritual development: %

Having seen your scores, what activities and/or events, within your control, do you think negatively
affected your well-being and integral human development? What specific dimensions of well-being or
integral human development do you think were most negatively affected by these activities/events? Why
do you think so?
My pandemic routine and sleep schedule inhibited by ability to maximize my time in the early morning. My physical
and mental well-being was compromised due to my erratic sleep schedule.

Having seen your scores, what activities and/or events, beyond your control, do you think negatively
affected your well-being and integral human development? What specific dimensions of well-being or
integral human development do you think were most negatively affected by these activities/events? Why
do you think so?
The facilities and equipment available in the office weren't complete which inhibited our team's capability of
producing quality content. My mental well-being was the most affected by this because we were all struggling to
make do with what equipment we have to use for content creation.

Having seen your scores, what activities and/or events, within your control, do you think positively
affected your well-being and integral human development? What specific dimensions of well-being or
integral human development do you think were most positively affected by these activities/events? Why do
you think so?
My initiative to propose new things and concepts for content on TikTok as well as my willingness to come to the
office at least once a week despite my allowance being insufficient to cover my transportation expenses positively
affected my overall work performance. Being onsite enabled me to collaborate more with my team and contribute
better to the output of the company.

Having seen your scores, what activities and/or events, beyond your control, do you think positively
affected your well-being and integral human development? What specific dimensions of well-being or
integral human development do you think were most positively affected by these activities/events? Why do
you think so?
The encouraging and supportive environment that the Marketing team created an atmosphere for growth and
development for me. My overall mental and emotional well-being was positively affected due to the sense of
belongingness I found in my team.
