ACTIVITY

Directions: Write your own concept of 21st Century Skills in each of the rainbow lines depicted
by the categories. Then, on the space below the rainbow, write your brief explanation to
indicate your clear understanding of this topic. This activity will be done by group for a minimum
of 4 members.

Each member should be assigned to one skill. So you should indicate the name of the member
per skill. This should be uploaded to your Google classroom.

Learning skills can be developed and enhanced over time to assist you in completing daily
chores or reaching professional milestones. Critical thinking, creative thinking, communicating,
and cooperating are the four C's of 21st-century learning. Critical thinking is the concentrated,
meticulous examination of something in order to gain a better understanding of it. People
frequently allude to critical thinking when they talk about "left brain" function. Open-ended
creation and exploration of possibilities are the hallmarks of creative thinking. When individuals
talk about "right brain" activity, they're usually referring to creative thinking. Listening actively is
paying attention, taking notes, asking questions, and otherwise participating in the ideas being
delivered. Collaborating entails allocating resources and tasks so that all team members can
work at their best. These abilities aid learning and are therefore essential for academic and
professional success.

Information Media Technology Skills involves being fully educated and aware of
checking data carried out through various media platforms in everyday living. This may
include social, political, economics, religion and other serious and notable basis of daily
living. For learners, it is an essential thing to be fully aware on fact checking before
responding and interpreting it. It is more convenient now to easily disseminate information
and necessary update across the world as we are now in the 21st century era. Therefore,
to be able to possessed being a responsible citizen, we must first start within ourselves by
being technologically literate.

Life and Career Skills is the ability to adapt the complexity of life through learning
about the environment and place of work. It strengthens your knowledge about
notions of life, career and the work place you are in. Initiative and self-direction is
also needed in this skill in order to work independently, to become time bounded
person and to explore own learning opportunities. Moreover, recognizing your goal
should be a top priority and should be paired together with responsibility in order to
produce great results in work, manage project effectively and exercise a healthy
environment in your work.

21st Century Skills refers to the broad set of competencies, knowledge and
skills that needed in today’s century and for future’s. This is to enhance the
various significant skills that required for individual’s engagement, betterment and
survival in Life and Career aspect, Information, Media and Technology aspect,
and also in the Learning aspect. Thus, those 21st Century Skills are extremely
important to be included in the curriculum, be integrated, taught and honed inside
the school settings for these skills will be huge of help to 21st century
students/learners to become ready and well prepared in facing and fighting the
complex challenges that real-life world bombards. And in order to easily cope up
from its ever-changing modification as well where critical thinking & problem-
solving, collaboration, creativity & innovation, and communication are highly
demanded.
